An Interview with Ken and Stephanie Jones
How long have you been a part of Harvest?
Since December of 2010.
Where are you currently serving?
Harvest Kids for 4th and 5th grade at the 9am service.We enjoy using our spiritual gifts of serving and teaching with the kids to encourage them to know, grow, and show God in all aspects of their lives.
How have you seen God move in your area of ministry?
We have seen some of the kids growing in their relationship with the Lord and even with us. We have been able to show them God by our actions and not just by what we say to them. We have gotten to know people better through our serving and have developed some really great friendships.
What obstacles have you overcome?
We have a very busy schedule at home and the Lord has shown us how important it is to serve anyway. It has made us slow down some in our week in order to pray about the class and what we are going to teach them. It has been an adjustment as we are now at church for about 4 hours almost every Sunday. We have seen our oldest daughter grow with us as she helps out in Harvest Kids too. Our faith has been stretched on some Sunday mornings when we are up at 6am when everyone wants to sleep in.

Ken and Stephanie both have the gift of encouragement and they use that even throughout the week to encourage their students in their take-home activities. They are using their gift of teaching as they teach their age group in addition to being the small group leaders. Ken and Stephanie have been a blessing because they have responded obediently to what God has called them to do. And they serve with joyful hearts...it is evident they are doing this unto the Lord and for His glory!
